1. About us

medtrainit is operated by:

Edtrainit Ltd

Registered in Scotland · Company No. SC887286

Registered office: 21 Fleurs Place, Elgin, Scotland, IV30 1ST

Email: connect@medtrainit.com

These Terms apply when you purchase or use medtrainit.

2. What you are buying

medtrainit IMAT is an online exam-preparation platform providing:

  • practice questions;
  • educational explanations and feedback;
  • targeted follow-up practice; and
  • progress information and dashboards.

Price: £69 GBP, paid once.

The purchase provides 12 months of access from the date payment is successfully completed.

The complete amount payable, including any tax we are required to collect, is displayed before payment.

This is not a subscription. It does not renew automatically.

3. Who can hold the account

If the student is under 18

  • A parent or legal guardian must purchase and hold the account.
  • The account is for one named student.
  • The parent or guardian can view the student's progress dashboard.
  • The student is clearly informed that parent dashboard access is active.

If the student is 18 or over

  • The student may purchase and hold the account.
  • Another person may view the dashboard only where the student has chosen to share it.

Each account is for one student only. Login details must not be shared.

You must provide accurate information about whether the student is under or over 18.

4. If an under-18 student becomes 18

The student can confirm that they are now 18 through their account settings or by contacting connect@medtrainit.com.

We may also ask an under-18 student once during the access period whether they have become 18.

Once the student confirms that they are 18:

  • automatic parent dashboard access ends;
  • the student keeps the remainder of the 12-month access period;
  • the student decides whether to continue sharing the dashboard;
  • the student may stop sharing later; and
  • the previous parent account holder is informed that automatic access has ended.

The parent's original payment does not give them an automatic right to continue viewing the dashboard after the student confirms that they are an adult.

5. Payment and account activation

Payment is processed securely by Stripe.

Edtrainit Ltd does not receive or store the complete payment-card number.

After successful payment:

  • the account is activated;
  • the account holder receives a secure activation email; and
  • the password is created using a secure, time-limited link.

We do not send readable passwords by email.

6. Immediate access and cancellation rights

Consumers normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase.

medtrainit is digital content supplied immediately. Before access begins, the purchaser must separately:

  • expressly request immediate access; and
  • acknowledge that the ordinary 14-day cancellation right will be lost once supply begins.

These confirmations are recorded together with:

  • the wording shown;
  • the wording version;
  • the date and time;
  • the purchaser's response; and
  • the associated purchase reference.

The purchase-confirmation email confirms the product, price, access period and immediate-access acknowledgements.

Once immediate access has begun following these confirmations, the ordinary 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right no longer applies.

This does not affect statutory rights where the digital content is faulty, misdescribed or does not meet applicable legal requirements.

7. Refunds

We do not ordinarily provide change-of-mind refunds after immediate access has begun and the statutory cancellation right has been validly lost.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

If medtrainit is faulty, materially different from its description or does not meet applicable legal requirements, please contact us.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include:

  • correcting the fault;
  • restoring access;
  • replacement;
  • a price reduction; or
  • a refund.

Duplicate payments and payments taken in error will be refunded.

Where a full refund is issued, access to the refunded product ends.

8. End of the access period

Access ends 12 months after successful payment.

We may offer the opportunity to purchase a further period of access, but renewal is not automatic.

Expiry of access does not mean that all purchase, accounting, consent or legal records are immediately deleted. Information is retained in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

9. No guarantee of examination success

medtrainit does not guarantee:

  • a particular IMAT score;
  • success in the IMAT;
  • admission to a university;
  • a medical-school place; or
  • any academic, immigration, career or professional outcome.

Dashboard information reflects activity within medtrainit only. It is not an official grade or a prediction of examination success.

medtrainit is an educational study tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or formal university-admissions advice.

10. Acceptable use

You may use medtrainit for one student's personal study.

You must not:

  • share the account or password;
  • allow several students to use one account;
  • copy, download, record or reproduce substantial parts of the platform;
  • take screenshots in bulk;
  • scrape or automatically extract content;
  • distribute, republish, sell or sublicense platform content;
  • bypass security or access controls;
  • interfere with or overload the platform;
  • reverse engineer the platform; or
  • use our content or service to reproduce a competing product.

Questions, explanations, feedback, videos, designs, branding and other platform content belong to Edtrainit Ltd or its licensors.

You purchase time-limited access to the platform. You do not purchase ownership of its content, methodology or technology.

We may suspend or close an account following a serious or repeated breach.

Except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons, we will explain the issue and provide a reasonable opportunity to correct it.

11. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

The platform may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • maintenance;
  • updates;
  • security work;
  • technical faults;
  • failures involving an external provider; or
  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where practical, we will provide notice of planned maintenance and take reasonable steps to restore access.

12. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • statutory consumer rights.

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care.

We are not responsible for examination results, university decisions or other outcomes outside our control.

We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.

medtrainit is supplied for personal educational use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from personal use of the platform.

13. Complaints

Please send complaints to connect@medtrainit.com.

We will acknowledge the complaint and try to resolve it fairly.

Edtrainit Ltd is not currently a member of a specific alternative dispute-resolution scheme.

If a complaint cannot be resolved, we will provide information about an appropriate approved ADR provider where required and state whether we agree to use that provider.

You remain entitled to pursue your legal rights through the courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms.

Changes will not be applied retrospectively to an existing purchase where doing so would unfairly reduce the customer's rights.

Where a material change affects an existing customer, we will provide appropriate notice.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of Scotland.

If you live elsewhere as a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protection provided by the law of the country in which you live.
